Wild West Dogsport and the American Working Dog Federation (AWDF) are pleased to announce that the upcoming AWDF IGP Championship will offer IGP 1, IGP 2 and IGP 3. Titles may be earned in progression (for example you may earn your IGP 3 at the event). As always, there are no requirements for minimum scores or specific courage/hardness ratings. This championship has been designated by the FCI as the sole qualifier for the FCI IGP Championship.

The restrictions are that you must be a current, in good standing member of an AWDF breed or sport club. Your breed/sport club will authorize your entry when it is submitted. Be sure you have a current membership before you fill out the entry form. Your dog must have an FCI and AWDF recognized scorebook. If you are unclear about your scorebook, check with your specific AWDF member club. Your prior titles must be from an AWDF recognized/FCI organization. AWDF member clubs with the exception of WGSDPA do not accept USCA titles earned after January 1, 2019 and for the WGSDPA German Shepherd Dogs may not have USCA titles issued after October 1, 2019. If you are a member of DVG and an AWDF breed club, present both scorebooks at the event for the recording of your scores and the judges’ signatures. Please refer to this page.

To qualify for the FCI IGP Championship the dog and handler must finish in the top seven at the championship, be eligible as per AWDF and FCI rules and submit their declarations and commitment forms with the deposit by deadlines that will be announced shortly after the event. Dogs and handlers that earn their IGP 3 at the event, finish in the top seven, and are otherwise qualified by FCI rules are eligible to declare.

We are all looking forward to a great event!
